About Horshaga Lantbruk

The farm is located about ten kilometers outside of Vara and consists of approximately 5,900 slaughter pig places, spread across two different farms. In addition to pig production, we also engage in crop production with cereals on about 500 hectares and ready-made rolled lawns on about 80 hectares. We have 10 employees on the farm, and currently, two staff members are primarily responsible for the pig barns.

About the Role

As a pig caretaker, you will be responsible for the daily work in the pig barns. We believe in creating a clean and safe working environment where you can thrive and take pride in the work you do every day.

As a person, you should be engaged, positive, and driven, as well as physically strong and resilient. Most importantly, your passion for animal welfare and your understanding of treating animals with care and respect are crucial. We also see that you want to grow within the role of animal caretaker with us, and it is important that you can work in a team while being self-driven and able to take your own initiatives. Responsibility, attention to detail, and good communication are also essential.

Job Responsibilities

As a pig caretaker, you will be tasked with:

• Feeding the pigs
• Supervision of the pigs
• Minor repair work

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• A valid driver's license (B)
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

Experience in the industry is an advantage but not a requirement; we believe in providing opportunities for those who are eager to learn and develop.

Employment

The position is full-time or part-time and starts with a probationary period. Working hours are weekdays and every third weekend. Salary and start date are to be agreed upon. Housing is available.
